Grover’s Mill was a final project at Vancouver Film School directed by Paul St. Amand. From almost day one of the VFS program, Paul and I had discussed doing a sci-fi project so this film benefitted from the longest gestation period of any our projects. Baltimore was the first VFS film to use a miniature and Grover’s Mill was the first VFS film to have a miniature created specifically for it. It was also the first VFS film to be a collaboration between the Film Production stream and the Visual Effects stream.
While doing a radio interview in the small town of Grover’s Mill, Orson Welles (Don Knodel) and HG Wells (Jason Logan) find themselves at the location of a visit from extra terrestrials.
