Garrett Hedlund was born in 1984 and Troy was his first feature film. He starred as Achilles’ cousin, Patroclus. He went on to star in Friday Night Lights and Eragon. Later this year, he will appear in the highly anticipated TRON: Legacy.
In the Iliad, Patroclus is a close friend of Achilles and is actually older than the hero. Later writings by Plato suggest that their relationship was a romantic one.
